Bishop Mario Oliveri speaks on rupture....

A portion of an interesting article by his grace Bishop Mario Oliveri of the diocese of Albenga-Imperia in northern Italy, published in the magazine "Catholic Studies" in January 2009:

"You are perhaps noting that where the Second Vatican Council has been interpreted as a break with the past, as a break, revolution, as a substantial change, as radical, and where it has been applied and experienced as such, it has really born another church, but that
is not the true Church of Jesus Christ, another faith was born, but that is not the true faith in the Divine Revelation, another Liturgy has been born, but that is no longer the Divine Liturgy, there is no longer woven throughout the Liturgy a Transcendence, worship, Mystery of Grace that descends from on high to really create the new man, to enable him to worship in Spirit and Truth, it has been spreading a moral situation, a morality that is no longer anchored. If not the way you think one becomes a moral relativist, a measure of thought no longer sure of anything, because being closer to the true, the good."
